Happy International Women’s Day!
This year’s theme set by the UN for 2023, is “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality.” The focus is centered on the digital age and how we can utilize technology to globally support the development of women and gender equality.
International Women’s Day (IWD) dates back to the 1908 protests by garment workers in New York City, and while the technological landscape has evolved substantially since then, women around the world continue to join together in championing for transformative change in the workplace.
Years later, now in the technology industry we see gender inequality still replicated in the digital world. One actionable way to fuse this digital gender divide is by providing women access to quality education and training in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
IQ Wired has operated in the technology space for nearly 20 years and we are incredibly proud that 72% of our workforce is comprised of women. We are thought leaders and innovators in this digital age. We utilize our influence as an opportunity for mentorship, using outreach to shift the collective experience of women in technology.
